Citrosol presents its Citrocide® Fresh-Cut technology at KRONEN's Customer Day in Germany

The company participated in the technical forum on hygiene, quality and automation with a presentation on water management and food safety, and showcased its main innovations for the fresh-cut range at its stand.

Citrocide® Fresh-Cut technology, developed by Citrosol to ensure hygienic, safe and sustainable washing of minimally processed fruits and vegetables, was the protagonist at the KRONEN Customer Day 2025. The event, held on September 25 and 26 in Kehl am Rhein, brought together more than 200 attendees from 45 countries and served as an international showcase for the company to demonstrate its commitment to innovation and food safety in the fresh-cut industry.

At the Technical Forum on hygiene, quality and automation, Dr. Martín Mottura, from Citrosol, gave a presentation entitled "Water management and food safety in post-harvest washing operations", in which he analyzed the current situation of water management in washing processes in the fresh-cut industry based on the results recently published by the EFSA (European Food Safety Agency). During his speech, Mottura explained how the integral Citrocide® Fresh-Cut system, developed by Citrosol, guarantees hygienic washing of minimally processed fruits and vegetables, increasing food safety in an efficient and sustainable way.

Customer Day 2025

Customer Day 2025, organized by KRONEN, a world leader in fruit and vegetable processing machinery, combined practical demonstrations in an exhibition area of more than 3,000 m², technical conferences and networking spaces. Citrosol had its own stand where it presented its innovative technologies for the fresh-cut industry, reinforcing its commitment to food safety, sustainability and efficiency in washing processes. Attendees praised the professional and close atmosphere of the event, and highlighted the importance of being able to see live the most innovative technological solutions and talk directly with engineers and developers.

The event once again highlighted the role of KRONEN and its partners, including Citrosol, as world leaders in innovation for fresh food processing, consolidating its position as a showcase for solutions that shape the future of automation and sustainable fruit and vegetable production.
