Quality Improvement Plans and Quality Control Systematics

In order to fulfill our commitment to society, we firmly believe that we must research, develop and innovate more sustainable solutions that, with our technical advice to the client, guarantee the maximum effectiveness of treatments, closing the gap between the laboratory and industrial results.

Our technical and scientific team has the knowledge and capacity to characterize your post-harvest processes, with special emphasis on those that are most relevant to increase the commercial life of fruits and vegetables, and to reduce claims due to poor condition of the fruit at destination. We will first issue a diagnosis and then establish the corresponding Improvement Plan for your post-harvest processes. The implementation of our improvement actions will allow us to improve the condition of the fruit at destination.

We can complement these Quality Improvement actions with the design and implementation of improvements in your Quality Control system, improving or implementing control procedures for post-harvest processes: Quality Control of processes and fruits.

ACTIONS AND METHODOLOGIES FOR CARRYING OUT THE DIAGNOSIS:

Development of customized post-harvest systems and treatments

In order to meet the specific needs of a particular customer or product, we study the possible solutions and alternatives to be applied, we develop and test them in the laboratory and in our pilot plant, and then we carry out a follow-up and industrial verification of the system's operation.

Training

As part of our commitment to society to reduce losses in FyH we contribute by offering our know-how in postharvest in training activities, seminars and short courses "in Company" for personnel of fruit and vegetable plants, fruit and vegetable exporters, service providers, and distribution chains themselves. The objective is to provide critical post-harvest concepts, practical knowledge and tools to improve the results of fruit arrivals from different origins.

Example of an "In Company" course

  1. Biology of rotting.
  2. Post-harvest physiological disorders.
  3. Proper handling of fruit in post-harvest.
  4. Post-harvest treatments and their correct application to reduce industrial variability.
  5. Quality procedures.
