GREENFOG-AS, the Citrocide® and CATsystem® systems will take center stage alongside the company's expansion into products focused on stone fruits and tropical fruits
Citrosol returns to Fruit Attraction with three of its flagship solutions taking center stage: GREENFOG-AS, the Citrocide® Systems, and CATsystem®. The company, which holds a leading position in the citrus sector, will use its participation in the trade show to also showcase its activities in other fruit and vegetable markets with growth potential, including stone fruits and tropical fruits.
To that end, it will have a 72-square-meter booth in Hall 3, D26, where a team of 26 professionals—including staff from the South African and Peruvian delegations—will be on hand throughout the three-day trade show.
Featured Solutions
Among the post-harvest solutions Citrosol will present at this year’s Fruit Attraction is GREENFOG-AS, a “zero-waste” fumigant designed for treating citrus fruits after harvest. Its application eliminates fungal spores and reduces complaints related to fruit preservation issues. The system is based on a green chemistry formulation and requires no water and generates no waste during application, offering maximum effectiveness and sustainability.
Citrocide® Fresh Cut systems, on the other hand, are designed for the hygienic and safe washing of fruits and vegetables, particularly minimally processed or "fourth-range" products. Their features include the prevention of cross-contamination, process traceability, and the hygienic recycling of wash water, which helps reduce water consumption and prevent the generation of harmful byproducts.
And we can’t forget CATsystem®, the system that measures and corrects the concentration of active ingredients in treatment baths in real time. The system analyzes the treatment solution and adjusts the concentrations to keep them within the established range, ensuring a uniform, precise, and efficient application. Thus, CATsystem® represents a technological leap forward in the control of citrus rot and is an essential tool for managing more sustainable processing plants.
International projection
Along with these solutions, Citrosol will showcase the evolution of its business in various fruit and vegetable markets at Fruit Attraction. Although citrus fruits remain one of its main areas of focus, the company has spent years developing solutions for other crops, including tropical fruits and stone fruits—two segments with growth potential as fruit and vegetable production increases in various countries.
Crop and market diversification is part of the evolution of Citrosol’s postharvest technologies; the company also works with products such as avocados, mangoes, apples, and pears. The company also has an international presence and operations in markets such as South Africa, Peru, and Uruguay, from which it serves the needs of producers and operators in different geographic regions.
During the three days of Fruit Attraction, the Citrosol team will be at booth D26 in Hall 3 to meet with industry professionals and showcase the capabilities of its post-harvest solutions in the various markets where it operates.
