Scientific Committee

Benito Orihuel and Pilar Errea, an agricultural researcher at CITA, joined the “5 a day” Scientific Committee at a meeting where face-to-face gatherings were resumed after two years of only virtual meetings. One topic that took up a large part of the meeting was a discussion about the effect on the Association’s messages and campaigns brought about by the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition’s (AESAN) new “Healthy and sustainable dietary recommendations” and the agreement to offer a collaboration with the Committee, as well as to develop proposals to achieve greater impact from the messages related to the consumption of fruit and vegetables from those recommendations.
